Yes, grammar sheriffs do tend to miss the point somewhat. But I can see where they’re coming from. Bad spelling on forums annoys me too. So I wrote a poem about it. LOL. Read it in context here.

Many things are said in haste
And sometimes grammar’s a real waste
Of effort, time and energy.
It’s what was meant to be,

Not what was actually said,
That’s what’s intended to be read.

But stick in your throat it does
And eventually, you make a fuss.

I tried not to get engrossed,
But two in one post
I cannot ignore.
It’s “you’re”, not “your”.
