More or less every day, if you search eBay, there is someone selling illegal MP3 compilations on DVD. Every so often someone on the boards that I frequent will notice, and everyone raises their arms in anger - only to be frustrated by eBay’s difficult to navigate help system.

It seems that nobody can every find the right links to report illegal items. Well, here they are:

FOR COPYRIGHT OWNERS

The link is right at the bottom of the front page! I’m not surprised you didn’t find it though: it’s called “VeRO Protecting IP”. VeRO is eBay’s registered copyright holder program. You have to fax them a list of works which you are protecting, then you can put in notices of infringement as you see fit.

Choose “policy breaches” then “breach of copyright” or “infringing items”. (I believe that self-burnt MP3 CDs or DVDs are infringing items.)
