For all of you who missed my show on Bassdrive today, Have no fear. Archives to the rescue!!!
Unfortunately I don’t have a tracklist, because the show’s 3 hours long and so full of new things that it’ll take me years of research to figure out exactly what I played.
Highlights include new bits from Pendulum, Hospital, Motion & ASC, Critical, Task Horizon, SMOKE, and god knows what else. Blap, etc.

I got a bit bored of my web server switching itself off at 4am for no reason and the boss waking me up from half way across the world all irate about it. So I wrote this script so that the problem can fix itself.
Feel free to use it for whatever you want, although I can’t promise it’ll help make tea or clean shoes.

So I just built myself a DELICIOUS new PC. I have this disgustingly sweet Antec silver case thing, and one of the key features of it is that it has a seperate chamber at the bottom for the hard disks and PSU, so that the hard disks are thermally isolated from the heat of the motherboard, CPU and graphics. Clever huh?
So my mother board (some ASUS A8N thing) is also pretty clever. They put the power connector right at the top of the board, so that it’s right next to where the PSU would normally be, for neatness, tidyness, and better air flow.
Herein lies the problem. My case has the PSU at the bottom. But the motherboard is still the usual way up. By some miracle, the power connector JUST ABOUT stretches to reach, and plugs in. But the 12v 4-pin thing for the CPU doesn’t. At all. It nearly does; but nearly is not does. And with a graphics card in, it doesnt even nearly.
Well damn, now that did annoy me somewhat.
SO I BUSTED OUT MY CHAINSAW AND IRON FOUNDY, AND MADE MYSELF SOME HAIR EXTENSIONS!£&!^£

Yes, grammar sheriffs do tend to miss the point somewhat. But I can see where they’re coming from. Bad spelling on forums annoys me too. So I wrote a poem about it. LOL. Read it in context here.
Many things are said in haste
And sometimes grammar’s a real waste
Of effort, time and energy.
It’s what was meant to be,
Not what was actually said,
That’s what’s intended to be read.
But stick in your throat it does
And eventually, you make a fuss.
I tried not to get engrossed,
But two in one post
I cannot ignore.
It’s “you’re”, not “your”.
– BEN XO!
Thanks to Colm for the inspiration, obviously

Shouts to Jeryl and anyone who listened to my private drunken birthday radio cast ;p~ The rest of you didn’t miss anything.

but what about really really really really old ones? from the 80s? nobody wants those either.
but they want stuff from the 70s. Or do they?
what would this covetabilty curve look like plotted on a graph?

If silicon engineers wear “Bunny Suits”, and car mechanics wear “Boiler Suits” … does the guy who fixes your car’s onboard computer wear a “Bunny-Boiler Suit”?

From here.
The toilet seat problem has been the subject of much controversey. In this paper we consider a simplified model of the toilet seat problem. We shall show that for this model there is an inherent conflict of interest which can be resolved by a equity solution.
Consider a bathroom with one omnipurpose toilet (also known as a WC) which is used for two toilet operations which we shall designate as #1 and #2. The toilet has an attachment which we shall refer to as the seat (but see remark 1 below) which may be in either of two positions which we shall designate as up and down.
Toilet operations are performed by members of the human species (see remark 2 below) who fall into two categories, popularly designated as male and female. For convenience we shall use the name John to refer to the typical male and Marsha to refer to the typical female.
The performance of toilet operations by John and Marsha differ in a number of respects. The costs of these operations are peculiar to the respective sexes and are fixed except with respect to the position of the toilet seat. In particular:
Marsha performs toilet operations #1 and #2 with the seat in the down position. John performs toilet operation #1 with the seat in the up position and toilet operation #2 with the seat in the down position. If the seat is in the wrong position before performing the toilet operation the position must be changed at an average cost C. Optionally the position may be changed after performing the toilet operation, also at an average cost C. (Changing the position of the seat during the performance of a toilet operation is beyond the scope of this note and is definitely not recommended.)
Highly recommended. LOL

Honestly, it really is! This is not a d&b mix, but it’s more of a breaks / house / electro mix with acapellas and Pendulum - all mixed in Ableton Live by Pacific (d&b producer from the west coast USA). Top guy, and honestly, this is one of the best mixes I’ve ever downloaded.
Highly recommended.
Link: Pacific - and now for something completely different
